Allergy Testing and Treatment Services

Bigelow Fowler Clinic offers allergy testing at its West location at 30 Jerry Potts Blvd. West.  Allergy diagnostic testing is done by using a combination of:

1) An “Allergy Clinical History” and 

2) A skin “scratch” test done on the forearm, where a tiny drop of different substances (such as mold, pet dander, grasses etc.) are used to measure your immediate allergic reaction.  

Diagnostic Skin Testing can be affected by certain drugs (so you will be given a list of how long to be off of specific drugs prior to your test), recent exposure to a bacterial infection and if you have circulating antibodies which just will not bind to the test antigen giving you a “reaction”.
